For the last two days, something electronic in my bedroom has been playing an alarm-style chime sound every five minutes. I've been searching high and low, taking inventory of all the electronics I own, trying to figure out what could be doing it. Finally, I tracked it down to the RAZR I used to use before I switched to the iPhone. I opened the phone to find it desperately trying to remind me that Bryan and Cat's anniversary is August 14th. When I pressed the button to acknowledge the alarm, it powered back off, its important duty complete, like Phidippides after delivering news of the victory at the Battle of Marathon.

I love cold weather, but I've gotta say, motorcycling, gardening, and Girl Scout cookies make the advent of warm weather pretty alright too
